There is a lot going on at the airfield, with post-storm cleanup still ongoing and now crab-related destruction to repair. Exploration teams are coming and going, and there is often sparring or weapons training going on in the central square.

( Smooth Sharks )
Jet found the mangled…shark fin? He’s pretty sure it’s a shark fin, torn up as it is. Either way, he’d found it roughly fifteen minutes ago and he probably should have abandoned it by now…but it was kinda cool. The only sharks he’d really run into were robotic ones or his old rival gang and both of those memories weren’t exactly the best. A dismembered shark fin was a better second brush.
Besides, this far inland with only a river? Seemed weird they’d found one at all.
He runs a finger over the rough surface of it and takes…a quiet moment when he thinks Martin isn’t looking to sort of…’swim’ the fin through the air. Like it was attached to a real shark. It puts a smile on Jet’s face, anyway.

Hi, everyone, this is Martin.
I'm at the airbase on the southwest side of the island.
I've started working on a project to set up waystations.
I want to do a clockwise ring of these stations around the perimeter of the island.
They'll have a marker with a number and directions to radio in that number so that people can make their way to the airbase.
Since that seems like a good spot for us to set up our base!
It's in the name, right?
So, what I wanted to request is that anyone who's coming to the airbase, if you could keep an eye out for containers we can use for either food or water.
I want to bury a bottle of water and some rations at each of the waystations.
That way, anyone washing up on the beach will have access to some food and water straight out.
I'm working on the rations with fishing and making jerky from anything we're not using to eat at the base right away.
Oh! And if you have any fishing supplies you can find, that would be great, too.

One other thing, it looked like some pretty dark clouds when I was out fishing this morning.
Not sure if the storm's going to come to us, but you should probably find shelter if you can.
And maybe put things out to collect water!
